A workaround?
« on: September 20, 2015, 10:41:28 AM »
I forgot about the thing with buydebug not having all the trash cans. (or me being blind and seeing none)
And... I deleted my trash can. Is there a way to get maybe the future one?

Yeah, the "Outdoor Future Trashcan" doesn't show up in BuyDebug/Misc. Objects for some reason. The only ones that show up for me are the base game "Trashcan" and the Dragon Valley "Rugged Receptacle" plus some public trash receptacles for use on community lots.

The only way that I am aware of to get an "Outdoor Future Trashcan" is to create a residential lot in Oasis Landing from Edit Town. It will start you with a trashcan and a mailbox. But you would probably have to build the whole lot there, save it to the library and transplant the whole lot with trashcan to use it elsewhere.

Here’s what I just did to get one. It requires The NRass mod “Debug Enabler” to be installed.
-   Have a sim travel to the future.
-   Once there, go into Edit Town, find an empty lot in town and set to type “residential/ownable lot.” A Future Trashcan and mailbox are put on the empty lot.
-   Return to Live mode (still in the future) and have the sim buy the lot from a computer – Real Estate – Buy Future Home.
-   Once they own the lot, they are automatically “moved” there from the Community Center where they would normally stay.
-   When they arrive at the lot, click the trashcan, choose NRass – Debug Enabler – Options: Outdoor Future Trashcan -  Move To Family Inventory.
-   You now have an Outdoor Future Trashcan in your family inventory that you can place on your home lot.
-   Have the sim travel back home and place your new hard-earned trashcan.

I used to have a 30x30 future lot saved if needed but I found a fancy 20x20 lot in Moonlight Falls thinking I'll do like an old factory house because Future houses don't go with Moonlight Falls. But yes. Thank you very much.
