Borrowing my friend's disc because mine is gone

So I have a problem. I'm thinking about getting a new computer to play on. The only problem is that I don't know where my Seasons disc and serial code are! Is it fine for me to use my friend's disc when I reinstall or will it affect my saved households?

Hi Evelina,

If you have your Sims 3 games registered with Sims3.com you can download and install the games via Origin that way.

The disc only matters for installation. However, it won't work if the disc is registered to someone else.

Your saved games should be fine. But you will need to install Sims 3 via Origin to be able to play your saved games.
