Weird shadow when I place a lot?

I'm trying to place a house from the gallery into an empty lot in Brindleton Bay. House is Streamlet Single (base game) and the lot is the one right above the club (I forget the name). Whatever I place, I get a weird triangular shadow on the lot. Why is this happening? I've included a pic for reference. Any ideas are helpful!

I'm not sure why it's doing that, but here are a few troubleshooting tips to try:

1. Delete Game Cache Files (What and How-To)

The localthumbcache.package can be found in the main Sims 4 folder
C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4

2. Move the mods folder to desktop (for testing purposes) - This is to fully make sure it's not outdated mods/cc or some hidden files in the Mods folder. - Read more in the post linked below:

Thank you, I will try those. Also – I don't use any mods. I have a 2015 MacBook Pro and two EPs: city living and cats + dogs. So my game is pretty vanilla. I'll let you know how it goes!

OKay, I did everything and I still have the shadow problem. Only on that lot though. I deleted my cache (I barely had any) and updated my computer with everything so I think that covers drivers? I don't use mods or CC so I didn't bother with that. Any other ideas as to what could be going on?
