Good work! I had a husband and wife team, but they both went into the business career right away. I might have had a slightly higher score, but I forgot to get them the $10,000 computer (face palm) until it was too late. It's the first time I've worked with asking for loans.

I do have the Game Packs, so I had the husband get the Incredibly Friendly reward. And I had both of them do the energy-centering yoga routine before going to work to get the +1 energized moodlet. When they had to become confident, they brushed their teeth, and there's also an interaction at the mirror that gives a +1 confident moodlet. The items my sims got were the cheap computer, which they set on the kitchen table, 2 yoga mats, and a cheap stereo for parties.

One good thing about moving every 2 days -- no repairs necessary.

I jot down all the valuable buy mode item (30 most valuable ones) and then replace the last 3 least valuable ones with painting, mascot sculpture, and fish.

It's really a shame more participants did not give this event a shot. Nutella's strategy above is hardly magical or sneaky - there could have been dozens of scores all bunched up at the top with her. I fear sometimes players choose not to jump into Tournament challenges because they fear the top players have learned some shady little trick/exploit. This definitely was not one of them. Oh well.

Well done, Nutella.

I used to get let this get to me and stop me from going forward in the sims 3 Tournaments. But this time, I told myself, the only way to learn and get better is to try and keep going. Learn from what the winners put up and find what works best for me. I enjoy the challenges because I find things out I didn't know before. This time around I'm doing a lot better.

I'm not a good strategist so I usually don't do much with the challenges although I really did enjoy the teen one and this one.  I avoid them because I'm very competitive and get myself all stressed out and I work hard at avoiding stress at this stage of my life.  I think you've done a good job with them.  Perhaps you're getting fewer participants because of it being Sims4 and folks are still struggling with a lot of it.  It IS very different from Sims3.

Congratulations Nutella that was brilliant.  I took a different turn yet in some ways similar.  I never thought of all those kisses increasing charisma!!  I knew charisma was going to be the key but it is one of the hardest things for me to achieve.  My married couple went for soul mate immediately but I wanted it because whoo hoo fixes the need for fun and soul mates are always in the mood even when very tired.  I bought my Sims a tent because you do get a good night's sleep there and no matter where they were they could plop it down, (on public property like yard at the library or at a park), and take care of sleep or fun.  The only thing they would lack would be hygiene.  I also bought them a picnic table and two computers so they could sit in their yards, (yes, chose love the outdoors), and do those daily tasks.  They both entered the business career so I needed two computers.  The ones at the library all too often in use.  They both rose up the business ladder quickly but since I didn't get my charisma up high enough fast enough, no loans.  I also jotted down the most expensive items but didn't really have the funds necessary at first and often were leaving behind items that would help them with their careers, second showers and toilets, telescope, stuff like that.
I really need to work on figuring out better/faster ways to increase charisma in general.  Barbie and Ken Doll were an adorable couple and I think I spent more time just playing with them and really didn't focus as much as I needed to with the job at hand.  When they needed to be energized they ate the special energy dish for breakfast while watching action or sports.  I had the wife make up a bunch of amygdela drinks later when they needed to focused and they would drink that before work when focused was the best mood.  They'd also use those computers to browse Simpedia.
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!

Well played, Nutella! I started my Sims out building charisma and working towards Soul Mate as well, but didn't recognise the value of well-crafted items and didn't think to leave one of them at home creating same.  So I ended up with lots of money and no place to spend it, as they went through the priciest buy mode objects much too quickly.

There is another high value crafted item but cannot do it this game.  Ambrosia is worth over 10k, but since we can't garden I have no way of obtaining death flower to cook Ambrosia.

Every time I do a challenge, I do at least one test run and determine where the bottle neck is.  In my test run, the bottle neck was not money surprisingly, it was the lack of high value items in game.  Sims 3 had a lot more items that cost way more, and sims 4 highest value item is the violin that cost 15k.

Yes, Great Kisser is the best reward you could get for Charisma (better than incredibly friendly reward).

There are two new limited time interactions 'trick' and 'treat' which raise both relationships and mischief/charisma dramatically. Sims also very rarely get tired of them.

I had the same problem of not having enough high value items to buy and was left with quite a bit of cash after I'd finished. Things really are cheap in sims 4!

@Nutella Did you buy a bed because moodlet solvers would have counted as some of the four items that were purchasable?  I never thought of that idea until now, since they aren't bought with Simoleans.  Or was it because you had trouble earning enough whim points to be using moodlet solvers all the time?

I had trouble earning enough whim points to be constantly using moodlet solvers.  I have a personal problem is that I HATE changing the whim/wishes on my sim, I rather work on aspiration to get whim points than keep clicking the "X" and hoping to get a new whim that suits me.  The 2 available slots with random whims keeps occupying it drives me crazy, I always ignore it if I could and just work on aspiration for whim points.

Well, I totally failed with this.  Did better on my short play test.

Did not realise that charisma went up with kissing, really impressive to get it to level 9 in a day, Nutella.  I had my guy use the mirror and he did not get very far.

Did not think of picnic table as a way to place two computers - that was inspired, Joria!

I stupidly bought the telescope, for logic, then found I could not place it on some of the lots (really should have play tested for longer).  I did think to buy a better bed, so guess I did one thing right.

The fire did not help either.  I had to replace the cooker which ate into my funds.

I'm trying not to be discouraged, after all, I haven't had TS4 very long and it is bound to be a learning curve.

Once again, well done to you all.
