I'm not really doing a story, just showing off outfits and recounting skill accomplishments and strategy. I wanted to give the skilling the most attention possible, and save the fun story parts for flashbacks in my AC.
So, without further ado, I give you the Parents, Mandela and Diego Cassa. (They are adults, I just have a fancy CC skin detail for both of them that covers up all of it but the eyes)
They promptly set off on the soulmate aspiration, and after they got about halfway mon night, we went to the gyms and found them some trainers, Marcus Flex, and a randomly generated sim named Tara Priestley. We added them to the WonderKid club after finishing the first level of the Bodybuilder aspiration for both of them, we went home and set up treadmills to grind the Fitness skill, with each parent working with their own mentor. At the last level, I swapped the second treadmill for a weight machine, and it was only a couple workouts until that was done (Tues night and Wed morning)
I want to start with a female Oracle, mostly for importing a WonderSpouse to maximize the skill options of gen2, and a little bit for story. This means the mentorable skills that the parents need to learn is small: Logic, Handiness, Fitness, and after reading some of
@oshizu's WCC do's, don'ts, and regrets, I'm going to try adding Writing to that list. With 5 days to teen for my WonderKid, I hope a parent will have time to max that before she's done with her primary career skills.
Diego went straight to the chess table, and Mandela to the woodworking table. After reading some of the Piaget WCC, I decided that in my replay that it would be worth giving Sleep Replacements to my parents, as their low amount of required mentorable skills would give them lots of time to acquire enough aspiration points to keep the WonderKid supplied.
Friday morning, Diego had maxed logic, and Mandela was about half a skill point away. I had them TFB in the bush, and immediately take the pregnancy test for certainty. This time around, I completely forgot the strawberries. In my first go, the mother lived entirely on strawberries for the duration of her pregnancy (I do a lot of fruit substitution in my games). Luckily, I had fraternal twins! Vanarra, our WonderKid, and her brother, Antonin! Having twins makes my health potion strategy so much easier.
As soon as I could, I aged them both up (advancing aging is allowed, slowing aging is not), and set them on their aspirations.
See you next time with kid pictures!
