Uploading to the Gallery

Hi all! Just wanted to ask of what happens when exclusive items (Expansions, Stuff, Game) are included in an lot on the gallery once downloaded. Does the gallery allow you to download the lot if you don't have the expansion? or do they just remove the item upon download?

I haven't shared much builds, but I want to upload some of the lots I made there. I just want to know if I have to remove the expansion/game/stuff pack items so that people in the base game can use them. Thanks!

The items are just removed from the lot when someone downloads them. The person who downloads them is informed of the removed items when the lot is downloaded.

The gallery allows you to download even if you don't have the expansion / gamepack. There will be prompt before if the user doesn't have all the dlc that is used on the creation. It will first list all the dlc used and price if they chose to buy it on the spot, but they can still download item without any issues. Unlike the sims 3 though, I think the items that is missing (for the lack of DLC) will not be replaced by any base game equivalent at all.

In addition, when you go to download something, there is a column on the right side of the page that lists the expansions etc. that are in the download.  I think the only thing not mentioned is CC but I can't swear to that.  Also, many builders put in the "comments" section on the left side under the lot stats, what they may have added, whether it has CC or mods or uses MOO, so anyone wishing to download can make a really informed decision.  I like that a lot.
