Retail perks.

When I try to buy a retail perk it says your sim does not meet the proper age requirements for this item or has already been claimed?  I'm confused lol

I think the game shows this message when either the perk has already been purchased or you had a different sim chosen when you first purchased the retail lot.

Sometimes the perks that you buy are only visible when in build/buy mode. Have a look in the retail build mode to see if the item is actually already unlocked.

I owned this particular retail store once and I guess I sold it or whatever, so I bought it again, and couldn't unlock 2nd or 3rd cashiers.  Well, any perk for that matter.  I will try it in build mode like suggested.

Still am unable to unlock additional employee #1 and #2!  Any help? :-s

Have you unlocked that perk lately at another retail store?  Maybe that is the cause.

I only have a bakery, but I have 4 restaurants, and sometimes it won't let me unlock a perk at a different restaurant.

Speaking of perks.........I bought the two extra employee slots and they're still locked.  When I click on the hiring section that shows the lock it's telling me that I need to purchase it but it's already grayed out under the purchase menu.  Also, the one employee I have shows up for work once and never comes back.  I tried firing several employees to get another and it's the same exact thing.  Is this a bug?

It certainly sounds like a bug. I couldn't find anything on the Bug Report site. I wonder if trying to cheat the perks in would help?

That did the trick and I should have gone to TwistedMexis about the cheats.  Thanks for reminding me.  Now I'm hoping my first employee will come back.  After five fires I am feeling kinda guilty cause it's not really their fault.  lol
