Stop the schoolbus from interrupting actions
« on: April 22, 2015, 07:08:40 AM »
Like the title says. How do I prevent the schoolbus from interrupting the actions my sims are doing?

For instance: My sim is eating his breakfast and not even halfway through the schoolbus comes and my sim stops eating leaving the food on the table.

I'd like to have the schoolbus not interrupt and just wait for the sim.

Thank you!

Hi Oekoeloe

Unfortunately, I don't think there's away to stop the interruption. However, you can pause the game, click on the school bus icon when it shows up, to close out of it. This will stop it's action, mostly, see note below.

You may need to have your Sim continue whatever he/she was doing, by re-selecting it. Then manually make the Sim go to school when finished.

How to do this:

1.) Click the right arrow, by the moodlet icons, to show the Sim panels. (if you haven't already.)
2.) Click the School tab
3.) Click the Go to School button.

If by chance the school bus is still outside after your Sim has finished what he/she was doing, then click on the school bus and have them go to school.

Just to note: The bus will honk once or twice at around 8:30am, and will leave about 9am.

Hope this helps, :)

It's difficult to make everyone do this in a household of 10 sims. (including animals)

Also, the teens stopped going to their after-school activities and they don't come home after school.
They'll just start making their homework right outside of the school's entrance.

I get that not coming home/doing homework outside of the school thing a lot. While they're in school, I queue up the go home action if I want them to come directly home after school. As far as afterschool activities go, mine seem to go for 2 times in primary school and maybe 3 or 4 times in secondary before having their awards ceremony. At that point, the activity stops. Mine always finish breakfast while the bus waits for them. In fact, they'll do their dishes quite often even though I haven't told them to do so (no neat trait) as it gets later and later.

I can't even cancel the "get in bus" action so they can then continu to eat.
