Merging Households and Skills
« on: April 30, 2015, 06:10:43 PM »
Hey everyone I am a bit lost when it comes to merging households and such. In my current game, it shows the three households I have played with since I have been in Sims 4. The one household has a sim that has skills built up and that I would now want to use with my new household within the same game. If I remove her from the old family I played, put her into this new household, will she keep all her skills and achievements? Or does it refresh with every new household?

I am just curious because I am someone who gets bored after awhile with building up skills and would like to have an all around sim to use in other households to make extra money, add to my story etc.

Please let me know, I am loving a lot of Sims 4 but some of this merging, townie business confuses me :D Thanks!

Hi kimdacutie,
Your skilled Sim will retain his/her skills. If you want to avoid 'manage worlds' just have someone from the other household befriend her/him as ask to move in. This will bring up a screen where you can easily transfer the skilled Sim to that household.

Alright thanks. So it does work within a game but not in a new game?

It would work in a new game. If you save that sim to the gallery/your library and then place that same sim in your new game (not a clone/twin), they should keep all their skills, aspirations, careers etc from your other game.

One exception to the rule- if you change a sims age in cas (not through in game aging up) they will lose all their reward/aspiration traits. Just a warning, as it can be kind of frustrating.
