Chapter 16:Good morning.. long time, no see, huh? It's great to talk to you again, a lot of things have changed in Lunar Lakes since the last time I was able to tell my story. We now have weather, university, resorts, and so much more now in town. Today, I was hoping to sleep in but the twins woke us all up extra early, it's their birthday and they can't wait to grow up. Come on, Sheldon... wake up, we've go to downstairs for the party.
The twins didn't even give any of us time to get dressed, that's how excited they were. Even though it was a bit of an odd party with all us standing around in our pajamas and underwear, it was still lots of fun.
Peta was the most impatient and first to become a teen, I don't even think she had a wish when she blew out her candles either.
Now, Perrek did take the time to at least make a brief wish before it was his turn to go up...
... he grew up looking so much like our Daddy Derrick it's scary, they could almost be twins themselves!
Peta has taken up a love of gardening, just like our other dad, Petre. She's getting pretty good at it already too, she just planted some bananas, eggplant, and lemons.
Not only did Perrek get his looks from Derrick, he's also inherited his love of the arts when it comes to music and painting. He says he wants to be a rockstar and you know what? I believe he will someday.
To keep the whole birthday celebration going on through out the day, we all decided to go to the local Summer Festival that was going on downtown. Not only was it the Twin's Birthday, but it was also Leisure Day in Lunar Lakes and the whole town was celebrating in one of the large pavilions.
Just as we were all about ready to go, Daddy Petre decided to stay behind, he said he had some business to take care of first and that he would just meet us all there. I wonder what kind of business he needed to do? I know he's been looking up a lot of information regarding the reaging gene research that has been going on at the local science facility, the Perigee.
Sure enough while we all enjoyed the fun at the Summer Festival, Daddy Petre stopped off at the Perigee... a couple of hours later and he came out looking like this! Wow, I guess they've gotten pretty good at this whole reaging thing, huh? They took him from elder to adult again...
He stopped off at the local store to pick up a few items now that he was too "young" for all of his elderly stuff back at home...
... New clothes...
... New gadgets...
... Back at the Summer Festival, Boinky and Deta continue to go closer and the spark between them begins to glow even brighter than before, infact it's going super nova if you ask me.
While, Daddy Derrick ends up winning the hotdog eating contest for a second festival in a row!
Sheldon and I enjoyed a few rounds of kickball, he did pretty good blocking me a few times too. I really thought I was going to best him a lot easier and faster than I did, maybe he should be in the professional athlete career along with my Dad?
Speaking of Dad, where's he at?
When he finally arrived, he shocked us all with his new look... especially, Derrick. I'm pretty sure he was really pleased to see him looking so much younger and healthier again.
It was such a long day that we all went to bed immediately when we got home, although the lights stayed on upstairs for a long, long time... guess our Dads had a lot of catching up to do?
The next morning, none of us were too surprised when Boinky finally worked up the nerves to ask Deta to go to the prom with him. We were equally unshocked when she said yes too, the whole family pretty much knows where their story is going, I plan on buying them a maid-bot as a wedding present when they get married eventually.
Even though the whole family was out very late last night, most of the teens in the house were able to be dressed, eat breakfast, and get onto the bus on time...
...well, except for Perrek. Poor boy, he overslept again and he had to rush this morning and missed the bus too.
Thank goodness though that we have the Not So Routine Machine and he was able to teleport to school and beat his siblings there too. Which I'm sure they were less than thrilled to see him gloating and waiting for them all at the school's portal with that smirk of his. We all just thankful that he was able to use it right...
...before it broke, luckily Dad is pretty handy around the house and was able to repair it in a few minutes.
One bad thing about Lunar Lakes having weather now is our open house plan, it seems like we're constantly mopping up the puddles when it rains and some of the rooms are really cold now. Dad says that a remodel won't work due to all the open stairs, walkways, and mid-level patios. So we're going have to hire a robot crew to demolish it all and rebuild a brand new house from the ground up... I wonder what our new home will look like?
to be continued...
