Buydebug cheat?

The really cool sounding buydebug cheat won't work on my computer! I've tried doing the 'testingcheatsenabled true' cheat, entering it, re-opening the cheat box and typing 'buydebug', then I tried 'buydebug on' then 'Debug on' then 'debug on' and then I tried 'testingcheatsenabled true buydebug on' and none are working! Does anyone have any ideas? Am I doing something wrong? Does it matter whether you enter the cheat in live mode or buy mode etc.?

Are you trying it in gameplay? Not in the main menu? Check if you are typing it without apostrophes.

Also Kiwi, depending on whether or not you have any expansions installed has something to do with it. Buydebug came with the WA expansion so people could build tombs without getting all the peices to objects.

I just did it and worked for me.
Ok, so I was in play mode, ctrl+shift+c at the same time to bring up the cheat box.
I typed testingcheatsenabled true,
and pressed enter.
Then ctrl+shift+c to bring the box up again,
typed buydebug,
then went into buy mode and went into the category folder thingy with the question mark on it "?",
and all buydebug stuff is in there.

Oh, did buydebug only come in on WA? Cause I don't have any expansions yet. Does it come in late night, because I've got that to load onto my comp.

I thought buydebug is available to anyone because of the patch that came out with World Adventures.

Perhaps you haven't patched the game. Playing it straight out of the box?
The cheat was added through patch to the base game around the time WA came out, so any patch higher than that will get you the cheat.

Yeah, when in doubt, patch it up.

And yeah, I read that the Buydebug cheat came into play around the same time WA did on IGN's guide, because of the tomb building aspect.
