Ok I know there have been problems with this career I've read the posts. My female sim can't get past level 5, however my male is at level 7, she started in this career two days before him. They have the connections reward so they started at level 4. All requirements are met. Here is the pickle.... I even tried the career cheat to get her promoted it wont work either! A cheat wont work! I've never had that happen before, although I don't use cheats very often so maybe it does happen. This is her second time in the culinary career, the first she became Master Chef, now she's going for the Master Mixologist Aspiratin. Short of cheating for this milestone does anyone have any advice?

My understanding is that once you've completed one branch of a career, you can't go back and complete the other. I'm surprised you were even able to get to level 5. I think if you hadn't had the Connections reward, you might not have been able to start at level 1.

MarianT is correct. You can only do one career once, per sim - no matter which branch you do.

The numbering is also different when you rejoin the career, with level 1 being a much higher level than before. I think level 1 is renumbered to where the split occurred. Level 5 is probably the top of the career for you.
