Can not find Dragon Dragonfly or Walking Stick

Have looked everywhere! Has anyone found one and if so approximately where? I have found the ordinary dragonfly where different guides have said to look for the Dragon Dragonfly and have tried all times of day.

Same for the Walking Stick. I even camped out at the hermits area for three days. Ugh, so hard to find.

I can't remember where I got my only Dragon Dragonfly, but I just found the walking sticks near the herb garden in Deepwood at 2 pm. Just one thing: I got other insects there the previous day (maybe jewels bettles) and I think that you must collect insects on a spot if you want to get other ones later.
The spot is not inside the herb garden but about 10 meters (yards) from it on the opposite side from the passage to the forest.

Ahh, that would make sense, the spawners need to reset or something like that. Cool! Thanks for the reply

I wish I could remember where I found my dragon dragonfly. It was somehow the very first insect my sim collected, so I'm pretty sure it was along one of the main tracks near the campground, as I collected the first insect I saw.

Dragon Dragonfly was near the waterfall in the big forest lot for me.

Sorry... should have come back and posted sooner. The problem was that when I went to the sites where everyone had reported seeing these two insects, there were other insects there such as ladybirds etc and so I didn't collect them. As soon as I started collecting them I guess the spawners reset and so the next time I went back it was easy to get the Walking Stick and the Dragon Dragonfly! 

Dragon Dragonfly on the far side of the fishing spot by the waterfall in Granite Falls National Park, and the Walking Stick to the side of the Hermit's Herb garden. Easy once you know how!

Is the Hermit's herb garden the plants at his house or is there another garden?  I've been there about 4 times for the day and I've yet to see a bug of any kind.
   I'm finding the ground bugs extremely difficult at all three locations.  I've only seen and caught one - the mantis.

@beardeux , no the herb garden is the area away from the hermit's house, a quite large roundish 'wild' garden that has carrots (I think from memory)and morel mushrooms in it as well as just general 'world' plants that are decoration. The walking stick insect is really hard to spot. You have to be zoomed all the way in until you locate the actual spawning spot and even then the walking stick is hard to see as its really thin! The spawning spot is to the side of the herb garden.

What time of day does the walking stick appear? How about the dragon dragonfly?

@Sonshine The dragon dragonfly I normally find in the early afternoon.  The walking stick is supposed to be during the afternoon also, but is probably unfindable currently due to a bug with a patch.

Hi ClayMask! I'm sorry that I didn't reply before now. I've not played #4 for a little bit. It figures though about EA's bugs messing things up! *sigh* I did manage to get the dragon fly though, just not the walking stick. : /
