Sim stuck "at school"

I have a teen sim that shows their status is "at school", even though I can see this sim on the lot.  I can't choose any actions for this sim except "go for a jog".  I've tried shutting down and restarting the game, playing other lots, etc., nothing works. Any suggestions?

Have you tried clearing caches?  Or repairing the game through Origin?  I would say if you've done all that already then uninstall using Origin which should keep all your save games and library intact, then install using Origin.

Have you tried resetting your Sim? Open up the cheat menu by holding down Ctrl + Shift + C, then type ResetSim [Firstname] [Lastname] and press enter. It should get them unstuck.

I had that problem once, too. I clicked "leave school early" and that worked for me.

Not sure if you could also try travelling to the park or something with that particular sim.. sometimes that works. I also had that issue - and the one where they are supposed to finish school at 3pm and it's 5pm and they are still there!

This should fix the problem. I've had sims stuck at work and that was all it took.

I haven't tried either of those things.  How do you clear the caches?

If you go here: Deleting Cache Files it will tell ya which files to get rid of.
