I know the single life was the focus of the Late Night expansion pack and thus Bridgeport as well, but there have been a lot of other cities I haven't had time to check out.   If I'm a young male still working his way up the career ladder who wants to meet lots of busty blondes to spend nights with, is there anything better than Bridgeport?

I hate the vampires in Bridgeport BTW, but I know there are ways of fixing that.

Welcome to our Forum, Nerva.  If you want to play nightlife with lots of bars and dance action, then bridgeport is the best.  If you are just looking for single female townie, every town has plenty.

You can place the bars and clubs from Bridgeport into any city to set up the scene for a bustling city, but it wouldn't affect the townies, they are set per town.

Three questions:

What about bartenders and other employees of the bars/clubs?   Does the game copy the ones from Bridgeport to the new city, or does the game dynamically generate new sims to work there, or will it be empty?

Will the sims in the new city go to the bar/club, and if so, will they all go or just the young adults or what?   Do the single sims know to go to bars/clubs?

I've tried to play around with the "edit town" feature, but I haven't figured out how I place a whole building or lot into a town -- is there an online guide for that sort of thing?

The game picks from the existing homeless sim population in the town in question. So if you place bars in Sunset Valley, it recruits the existing homeless first, then it generates sims to fill in what's left. You don't get Bridgeport's mixologists and whatnot.

We do have a guide on Edit Town.

If you have too many bars/clubs in town and not enough people living in houses then your clubs might seem empty, But if you just place 1-2 then you should be fine. I have several clubs placed in moonlight falls and they were empty until I put a ton of families into the empty houses.

@Nerva if I may suggest: Try playing Sunset Valley 7.0 by Naga. Download the version suitable for your installed EP's.

If you're into mods, I also recommend using Nraas Story Progression, where you can control the population of vampires + force 'immigration' of new families into new homes.
