Sims 4 has stopped working
« on: December 12, 2014, 09:20:33 AM »
Hello everyone!
A few days ago I was playing and suddenly the screen freezes. I had only been playing for around 10-15 minutes when this happened. So I was just playing when my screen freezes. It goes black for a moment then a message pops up saying 'The sims 4 gas stopped working' with the options to close the program or find a solution. After that I put of my PC and let it rest for a few days when I came back to play, days later, nothing was wrong and the message didn't pop up. Then yesterday it came back again but it let me play fine and it didn't crash or freeze just when I quit the game the message came. Is there a fix? Do I need to delete some caches?
Thanks in advance :)

Hi FashionSim,

I would definitely clear the cache files and look through the following thread for more tips.

I hope this helps, :)

Oh the caches I see that I think I can delete are:
lastCrash_63553228480
lastException_63552018092
lastException_63552332479
lastException_63553228481
lastException_63554007135

Are these safe to delete? :o

Those don't look like cache files to me. So I searched on what type of files they might be. And what I've been able to find is they are some sort of crash report files and are safe to delete.

Hi MrsFlynn :)
Thank you so much for your help. I don't get the message anymore. I deleted the cache files, played in Off-line mode, and saved manually.
Thank you again  :D
