"Give an Object an Advanced Upgrade"

My Sim has the Whim to "Give an Object an Advanced Upgrade."

Does anyone know how to tell if an upgrade is advanced? Carl has a list of upgrades in his guide, but I don't know which ones qualify as "advanced."

Any of the upgrades that unlock at later levels of the handiness skill are advanced, but the specific ones I know of:  A biget on the toilet, a soap dispenser on the sink.  I know you can do like a "clean layer" or something on the shower. 

Basically, any upgrade that improves or changes the function of the object and doesn't just make it less likely to break is an advanced upgrade.

I think my oven had some sort of "clean coating" or something like that that could be added. There's auto soap dispensers for sinks, I think the toilet had add a bidet and superior flush. I know there's electronic upgrades and you need to have special electronic upgrade parts, but my level 6 or 7 handiness sim can't do any electronic upgrades yet.

You get a message around about level 3 of handiness that your sim can now perform advanced upgrades on many items. Any upgrade that is not a sturdy faucet one is basically an advanced one. So any self cleaning/ powerful jets etc etc are advanced.
