Rules about posting links
« on: November 02, 2014, 02:32:32 PM »
It recently came to my attention that some links are forbidden from being posted in the forum, such as links to mods.

Is it ok to post a link to the "EA Answer HQ" in a discussion thread about a bug so that other forum members can go click "me too" so we can hopefully get our problems addressed?

Also, would you mind clarify what link are and are not allowed to be posted in this forum? Thanks!

This is the rule that covers linking to other sites:

6. Do not discuss or link to sites that offer content which breaks the game's teen rating, and no direct-linking to sites that feature only Custom Content. Examples of CC are hair, clothing, and objects that are not included with The Sims 3. Game mod discussion is OK so long as the Teen rating is kept in mind and it is on topic. We now have a board for new topics about mods. Please read the rules and disclaimer there.

So it would definitely be ok to link to the EA Answer HQ. If you are ever unsure, you can always ask a moderator.
