@ladydragon76: That sounds really interesting! Unfortunately, I came upon my young adult idea after my sim married a townie in BB with black hair, swarthy skin, big old honker. Nothing like my fine-boned fair skinned violet eyed founder. Guess who the kids resemble?
I noticed that. If you have a gorgeous sim and marry a not so gorgeous mate, the kids always get the not so gorgeous genes! I don't know whats up with that!!

If I try this idea again, I'll make both of the founders. I love the white hair, green eyes idea! I was trying to come up with something stand-out like that, but got sick of all the ideas I tried. I may try your idea next time around.

Plus, I love the idea of changing the composition of the town population!

I tried it once but I started out with 4 green yas, 2 men 2 women, and I wanted to alternate who woohood who so I could get green kids, have them marry and have green kids. That game got glitched though, knowing what I know now probably my dumb graphics card. But when I get a new one, I'm definitely going to try again!!

@Pam, I plan to bring in one green eyed, white haired mate for each green/white child Star and his lovely created green/white wives have, then I will kick them out into the world to see what happens, but I'm not going to just seed the neighborhood.  I plan to help the kids get their lifetime wish, job, and the fertility treatment reward before releasing them into the game.  Ideally, I'd like Star's children, after a few generations, to be able to choose from the townies, and find mates with the "right" features.

Also, I totally stole your color for a name idea.  It makes it unbelievably easy to decorate and pick out clothing.

And I do have a question.  Where would I post this story if I told it?  I have it started on a special Livejournal, but it's friends only, and I wouldn't want to force everyone here to get an LJ if they don't have one.  I also have the house flip thing going, but its not the contest (I didn't read rules before beginning so it's more of a flip the houses, epically long legacy thing, just sorta inspired by it.  I'd love to share both.  Will also eventually post my Dynasty when it gets a little further along, but I know where that entry would go.   :D

I forgot to look at names, but yes, I have noticed the kids pick up the negative features from the townies, part of the reason I decided to go with the create-a-mate option, heheh.  So far, Star and Halle are 4 for 5.  Their son is just about a carbon copy of Star, and so is the younger girl from the elder set of twins.  The first born girl, and youngest daughter (the twin to the black sheep) look like copies of Halle.

This game is WAY too much fun.   ;D

*hugz!*

If it's a regular type of story about your Sims 3 game, you can post it on the Stories Board where the Dynasty and legacy stories are posted.
