Sims 4 - Disabling Packs (How-To)
« on: January 01, 2024, 08:37:37 AM »
Now that we have 15 expansion packs, 12 game packs, 20 stuff packs and some kits, those of us who like to get all or most of the Sims 4 might be finding their game somewhat unwieldy. If you're using EA App, James Turner offers a guide on how to disable packs you don't want to use in your next save.

James Turner offers a list of all the packs and kits. You can choose the ones you want to disable and copy the code.

To give an example, I'm currently playing without the occult game packs in my 100 nooboos story. The steps to disable occults are these:

1. Open EA App
2. Click on Sims 4
3. Click on Manage
4. Click on View Properties.
5. In the "Advanced Launch Options" box, type -disablepacks:GP04,GP08,GP12

Do not put in any spaces. It is best to do this when starting a new save. If you have content (clothing, furniture) from one of the packs you're trying to disable, you'll get a message that your game doesn't support some of your content. You might be asked if you want to download the pack that does support the content, and if you choose that, you'll get the pack you tried to disable.
