Deleting an Undeleteable Object
« on: April 02, 2016, 06:58:19 PM »
What appears of be an uncooked grill meal popped up in my household inventory. <shrug> I didn't want it so I attempted to drop it in the trashcan. I missed......like I always do. Now it is in the middle of the kitchen...stinking(so it is active), but I cannot eliminate
the thing.

In live mode:
Only option is throw it away but when selected my sim complains about the path even after emptying the room. I cannot pick it up.
In build mode:
It cannot be selected, picked up or deleted. The sledgehammer says "cannot delete item". Deleting the floor leaves her at ground level and the "mess" hanging in front of her.

Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.
Thanks

@t6roller

I had this recently. The only way I could get rid of it was by saving the house/lot to my library, bulldozing the lot, and downloading the house to the lot again.

With the testing cheats on, are you able to shift+click the item and get anything different?

@Dellena

In my case that wouldn't work. Just the bulldozing and downloading the house/lot again cleared it.

Thank you both ladies. I had already tried the shift-click without success; however the save, bulldoze, restore worked just fine. Again thanks so much.

No problem, it's a really annoying glitch!

Took me a while to figure it out.
