Custom content(cc) and the gallery

I haven't tried and wasn't sure but was curious and thought I would ask. I see some things on the gallery and they say cc but don't say where to get the cc or what it is. If you download the thing from the gallery does it come with the cc or are you supposed to search the Web hoping to figure out what it was?

The game automatically removes any cc that you don't own from any sim or lot that you download. No more worrying about bad cc sneaking and ruining your game.

I wonder if there is even a point to uploading things with cc if no one puts where to get it or even what it is lol

That's the fault of the poster if they aren't giving a location for the CC.  But yes, not much point in uploading something with CC if people don't know where to get it.

Yes, I would have thought that it would seem obvious that if you upload something with cc, yu at least tell people where to get it from.
