Hi everyone, this is my first post here so I hope this is the most appropriate section for it.
I would like to adjust the textures in my Sims 3 clothing for some items - adding logos, pictures to shirts, that sort of thing. I used to do this very frequently in the Sims 2 where I could just dip into the folder where the texture files were kept, and modify them. I'm familiar with concepts like DDS textures, alpha channels and so on as I also make my own textures in Flight Simulator, where they work in the same way.
But for the life of me, I can't find where these files are kept on my computer. All Google searches for How To Edit Sims 3 Clothes lead to pages telling me to download some sort of Delphy Tool in order to make the process quick and easy. Which is great, except if it's possible to do it without downloading extra software, that would be my preferred route.
Apart from providing a handy interface to make the editing process user friendly, is the Delphy Tool actually a necessity for accessing the files themselves, or can it be done without it?
