Split Item Stack?

I came across this article when searching this question regarding The Sims 4. Does this same or any other method work in The Sims 4?

Umm... which article? 

If you have Outdoor Retreat installed you can not drag whole stacks between sims or out of the storage chest or fridge. This is a reported bug. Is that what you were referring to?

'twas split from the TS3 thread about splitting an item stack into multiple segments. :)

Ahh...welp, in that case, no. The Sims 3 split a stack ability is not a 'thing' in The Sims 4 :)
