Aspiration List and teen careers
« on: September 09, 2014, 03:32:45 PM »
I really wish the new guide will have an aspiration list where a player can get a quick overview of the different aspirations in game. This is one of the things I have always missed on the sims 3 guide (that there is no direct link to the LTW page, and that you need to search for LTWs to get to the list.

Another thing is I hope you also add the teen careers to the career list, maybe as a sub category at the end. It would be great to have them all at the same place.

On Sims 3, the navigation list got so long that I put the link to lifetime wishes under Sims 3 game info - the menu expands and it's there. I guess that method makes things harder to find, but I had to figure out something with the site having ~500 pages.

I am absolutely making an aspiration list, and soon. I want to set the format so that Pam and Metro mirror the method I use for covering one, and those will be linked from a master list. I'm still contemplating the format, but will take notes next time I work on one. I realize how helpful these tips can be.. for example I didn't look ahead and see that I needed 25 paintings (something like that) on the wall to complete a milestone for the painter aspiration. That set me back a bit, and keeping some more paintings would have sped up the process.

You can check the aspiration requirements ingame by choosing change aspiration on the aspiration tab. It gives you all the requirements for the different level and a vague description of the resulting bonus.

I know that, but sometimes when you are planning something (like a challenge) it's useful to be able to check it out in the guide too. Also, once the expansions come out it will be a good way to see what they add to the gameplay before deciding if you want to buy the game.

Yes, that looks awesome!

I like how easy it is to get an overview and compare two separate aspirations :)

I had a look at the list, there's a couple of things you missed out on the rewards from what I've seen:

Webmaster: This reward also unlocks "Internet Stalk" under the social menu which lets you find out another sim's traits, and the "Research binge" under research which increases multiple skills at once.

Expressionistic: Also applies to writing genres, letting you write Romance, Motivational Book, etc without the required emotional state.
