Is there an aging bug?

I haven't seen anyone talk about this but I was wondering if it's just a glitch on my game.

I created a YA couple and immediately upon putting them into the game a notice popped up that the wife had aged to adult.

Lifespan is set on normal.

In my aspirations panel it has the goal "Become an Adult'  checked even though my sim is still a young adult according to   1)how I made him in CAS and 2) his simology panel. I was wondering if the game doesn't really differentiate between young adult and adult.
Have you checked that she really is and adult as opposed to young adult in her simology panel?
Don't know if this has helped really.

Yep, says she is an adult. 

The notice literally popped up as soon as I hit live mode as I finished building their house.  She hadn't been in the game live for even a minute.
