Show off baby to option

Was wondering if this is just my game but does anyone else have any difficulty with the "show off baby to" option? On my game I click the button, select to whom I want to show the baby off to, and then nothing! It is like I "X" click out of the option because it pops up in the task bar and then simply just disappears right after.

Is there room behind the bassinet (like the opposite end of where they pick the baby up from)? When my sim showed off her baby, the other sim had to go stand there to complete the action.
