Multiple object issues inc Mirror, Fridge, Books

I am having issues since the last patch with a number of objects not working how they should (or how they used to).  Couple of examples:
 
Fridge - cannot open, kids can't get any food from, can't clean out spoiled food.  Only solution so far is to replace the fridge.
Mirrors - Sims can no longer access a mirror if it is behind a counter (e.g. bathroom sink in a counter) or behind a dresser.  Only solution is to put a new mirror in a place where there is nothing in front of it.
Bookcase - cannot put books into inventory (hence cannot read to children), cannot purchase books.  Only solution is to buy a new bookcase and purchase books so they go straight into inventory.
Aspirations does not recognise that you already own objects.

I have tried clearing the cache and repairing the game and I don't use any mods or CCs.

Hi @MrsWibbly  unfortunately these are all 'old' bugs or 'previously known' bugs.    Try deleting the localthumbcache.package file from your The Sims 4 folder and then do another repair.

If there is still no improvement try a Factory Reset

I have deleted that file already.  Going to try and create a new save to see if that helps...

I have seen fridge bugs before and the occasional bookshelf issue but the mirror one is new to me and much as I like redecorating and refurnishing houses I am getting frustrated that the EA response to these long standing issues that they are still not fixed - all while they release more and more new packs to try and get me to part with my money.  Getting really frustrated now.

I found that if my sim moves into the Landgraab house, I have to replace a lot of the interactive furnishings--fridge, computers, and bookcases. (sorry, forgot what else)
@Joria has mentioned this about that house as well.

For some reason, the default Landgraab house has non-functioning furnishings.

Interesting!  Most of my issues are with the pre built / occupied houses like the Landgrab's and BFF.  Anything I build is fine.

Great news that your own builds are okay!

The Landgraab house drove me crazy until I just started replacing everything that didn't work. I remember feeling unhappy about the cost, lol.
