Fridges can now break and be repaired.

I just had my sims fridge break and when I had him to repair it there was a pile on the floor. When clicking on the floor I could throw it away or search it for parts. Upon searching the pile for parts I found 3 Common Upgrade Parts that was put in my inventory.
When checking the parts out the definition given for them was "A generic part useable in many different types of upgrades"
Looking forward to see what these parts are used for and what you get for repairing other items.

Thanks for the info. I have always wanted to be able to upgrade the fridge to keep things in their longer without spoiling, etc.. hopefully that is a sign of such things.

That would be nice. I haven't got my handiness up enough to upgrade anything yet. Time will tell.

At a handiness skill level 5 I got an upgrade option for the fridge for a reinforced door. The description says One way to make the fridge break less often and takes 4 common upgrade parts to do.

You can repair any item that is breakable eventually, when you get enough Handiness skill. I've unlocked the options to upgrade large appliances now. I think that's Handy 5 or 6.

Do upgrades on toilets and sinks for good moodlets when they use the toilet! Really helps the mood, even if it is just a little thing.
