Mobile Testers needed
« on: August 31, 2014, 11:00:59 PM »
Those with mobile phones or low resolution monitors, I could use your help. Please go to The Sims 4 Guide and let me know how much better than the old site it is and anything that can be done to improve the experience. I'll do my best to improve it a little, but it's already a bit better than ts3 site in my opinion.

Main text is certainly readable on mobile, but the links in the sidebar are very small unless I zoom in.

Just a first impression, though. It is better than the TS3 guide on mobile.

The main text is good size, I wish the buttons were at least 3 sizes lager.

It is loading quickly for me. The menu buttons are a bit small but that's the nature of the mobile beast I'm sure.

This is my first foray into responsive design, and I guess it's going ok if you are able to read it. I compared on my girlfriend's phone and it was looking readable, but I have decent vision and her screen isn't quite as small as they come. I'll make tweaks to the link section and see if I can get it bigger soon. Since the news is meant to drop to the bottom when someone has a small screen, it should have room to expand the navigation a bit on most screens.

Phone: Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Thoughts: Website fits into the screen nicely. It doesn't disappear off the edges or anything like that, so that's awesome. I'm longsighted and can read the sidebar text fine, but zooming in a little certainly makes it easier.

I have a HTC, and on the bottom post of a thread there seems to be an add behind the writing in the post. It appears as a small, blue open triangle.

Do you mean the news box on the Guide?

I don't know - It was tiny, hiding behind a single word, and not much taller than the text. When I clicked it an add came up bigger, but I closed it off immediately as I do whenever I accidentally click anything I don't mean to.
