Sims can not go to the party.

Hi. My sims was invited to the party, and whet time come to go to party my sims cant go to it. When I click on the house where party is it says than nobody at home. So why it happens?

Are you sure the party is at the sims house? Is the party balloon icon on top of the lot?

I have had this happen a number of times.  I guess the sim decided he didn't want a party after all or he is just a rude sim, lol.  Anyway, not sure why it happens.  Sometimes the balloon icon is there and by the time I get my sim out of the house, the icon is gone.  I think one time, even though my sim didn't go to the party because no one was home, he still got the message, "thanks for coming to my party".  Silly sims.

Sometimes there is party icon, but last time not. And my sims always getting message that he didn't went party. I m really worried because mine sims is at 4 celebrity level and I need 5. So it would be great way to befriend celebrities at parties.

I never had this happen until just a week or two ago. But now it happens in all my families in all the parties. The party balloon is gone.

If I click  the button "attend party" when it first pops up, then my sim can go and the party is there. Ok.

But if I want to instead take others with me to the party, or if I miss the notification, or just want to go a little late, no. I cannot go. There is no party balloon at the party house and no one is home.

The text message from the host shows up hours late after the party appears to be over.

This is not just one family or one time. This is now happening constantly for all sims.

Anybody found a fix? work-around? Could this be some new patch or content?

If you don't mind using cheats, this is what I do to avoid the "you didn't show up" message. I turn on testing cheats and then shift-click on the ground on the party host's property, and choose "teleport me here."  Then I have the sim take a couple of steps and wait for the house to open, and then just teleport him/her back home.  Usually that's enough to get the "thanks for coming to my party" message even if they aren't there.

It is ridiculous that you can get a hit for not attending a party that the host couldn't even be bothered to be at, though. That's always irked me.

I had this happen in a few files. Usually I would close the game, clear all caches and the next time the game would be fine. Other times nothing I did worked. Also, reset the town, that might help, since the sims holding the party can't welcome you to it if they are stuck somewhere.
