Bad Custom Content
« on: August 20, 2014, 06:27:25 AM »
I'm new to the forum, and fairly knowledgeable to custom content in the sims 3
We've all accidentally downloaded some funny CC - that doesn't let your computer launch and it goes black screen (at least I hope i'm not the only one!) Anyway, that's my problem, I've downloaded 3-4 hairstyles which I've isolated, but i'd do anything to make them work! I don't know if it's just me, but whenever installed, my game just refuses to run. Is there any way around this? Because I desperately need them to work (there's not many options for long female dreadlocks)

For a start, take it out and see if the game will work then.

If so, add them back one at a time and see which causes it to crash.

You can also use Nraas MasterController to make all CAS options available to both sexes, and I think Male has some dreadlocks.

Check the website that you downloaded them from. It's possible that the file got corrupted downloading, or that the offending hairstyle has too high a poly count. You may be able to download the files from a different source if it is the former.
