Sim created art disappearing

I have three artists of varying ages in my dynasty.  When I try to place the work they created the painting goes to the wall and then disappears.  It never shows up but you also cannot place anything else on that spot.  Has anyone else had this problem and is there a fix?

Yes, there is a fix. Move the pictures off their easels in buy mode.

They sometimes come back. I had a duplicate toddler portrait that had disappeared reappear when its subject was a teen.

Your welcome! I got the info from another thread in the technical board, actually, and I remembered it because I get this glitch all the time.

Thanks, Lisa.  That would work if the art was on the easel, but in my case it's in his inventory.  Now, strange thing, my "house" is all underground.  If I try putting the paintings on the exterior walls it works ok but if I try putting them on interior, cross walls, I can place one from inventory but not a second one.  However, I can place as many as I want on the exterior walls.  I've tried saving, going back to the menu and coming back in just to see if they reappear but they don't.  True bummer as this is my ID spouse who is 90 so his pictures are going to be very valuable soon.

You can always paint more paintings, and later in your dynasty use the build mode trick.
