I believe this is the right section to post?

Anyways, I was just wondering if there is a way to change a dorm lot to a residential type lot. I downloaded a custom dorm lot but want to use it in the default world as a normal house, because in my game i'm going to make my teenagers live in this dorm.

I'm not sure whether this would work but you could place it on a dorm lot in your home world and then switch the lot types while the lot is still placed. I've never tried this myself and I'm not even sure that the option to do this is available, but I suppose it's worth a shot!

Also while you are in edit town, just make sure the lot is set on residential before you put the dorm down.  Either way should probably work, but I usually change the lot type before I put a building on it.
