Alien Parent Teaching to Drive?

Hi, sorry if this has been mentioned before, but do alien parents have the ability to teach their sim teen children to drive? Mine does not have the ability to all appearances. Her human husband and father in law can teach him how to drive, but she can't. Has anybody else had this? If so is there a fix or a workaround for it? Thanks!

Yes and also in the driveway. I moved in her son's future wife and she can teach her how to drive but not either of her sons. Also, the father is able to teach the son to drive.

I did not have this problem with my alien father sim. He taught his half-alien, half-sim daughter to drive after she asked him to. It was in a regular car, not the cool spaceship. Sorry to hear that you are having this issue.

I was having the same problem then I took the cool spaceship AND the hover board (probably would have to do it for other transportation too; ie. bicycles, but I'm not totally sure) out of both the alien parent AND the alien child's inventory.  Then I bought the old jalopy and made it my preferred vehicle and put it in in the alien parent's inventory AND THEN I was able to teach the kid to drive.
