If you stock one type of the fish, then you'll be able to catch only that fish, more you stock odds are dividing according to the level needed, like in all fishing spots. This means if you stock your pond with minnow and lobster, without bait you'll catch lots of minnow and only few lobsters. It doesn't matter if you stock lobster 5 times and minnow only once.
Quality of fish used to stock pond doesn't matter. You can use normal quality fish and catch perfect one, but using high quality bait, having maxed skill and skill challenges done makes a huge difference.
Also, it seems that non got "great spot" stocking pond in lot where Sim live, no matter how many different species you stock, or how many times you stock same type of fish. I manage to stock same spot in backyard with at least 10 different fish, and they are all listed when I inspect water, but still none is jumping up and it is still "descent place to fish".

I've been trying to have my level 10 fisherwoman stock the pond on her home lot. The option's aren't showing for me when I click the fish in her inventory and when I click the pond. I've been having trouble finding out how to do it in the guide, and I was wondering if someone could help me out.
If a cluttered desk is an indication of a clutter mind, what is indicated by an empty desk?

Do you have enough fish in the inventory (you need 10)... and I think stock pond might only show up if you're on the actual lot - you need to click the pond, not the fish :)

We have a thread for stocking ponds so I'll merge this one with that one. Although you already have the answer it just keeps the discussions/questions in the same place. :)

I can confirm sfsfsfgiants sceme.  I always have a home pond and stock it this way.  The only thing which might, and I can't confirm this. stop continous regeneration is if the pond is too small.

So clearly you can stock a pond. Can you UNstock a pond on a residential lot? To remove fish so it only has what you want in it?

Also, can you over stock a pond in which in negative side effects will occur?

No overstocking effects I've ever seen.

The only way to unstock a pond that I'm aware of is to fish up 10 of each that you do want, fill in the hole, and then redo the pond. Kind of a lot of effort.

Yes too much effort for what I want. I began stocking the ponds at mosquito cove and realized it made more sense to only stock fresh water fish. Oh well! Thanks!

Can you stock pools vs ponds?  If you can, can your fisherman, not a child or insane person, fish from them?
What?  Grannies can't play games?
