Crashing
« on: July 12, 2014, 02:26:41 PM »
Hello!
I have got all the Sims 3 expansion packs and stuff packs, and some of neighborhoods.
Whenever I go into Create a household (same thing happens if i move in household and try to edit sims by TestingCheatsEnabled True  - Edit Sim in Create a household) it let's me choose basics and hair, and let's me to choose all the everyday outfit (with laggs, tho) but whenever I have finished doing everyday's outfit, it freezes and I have to start task manager and exit the game or it simply crashes and threws me out with 'Sims 3 has stopped working'.
I tried moving in household and wanted to change sim's appearance and chlothes with dresser and mirror but I started with creating a house. Well, I bought some mansion so I was editing rooms, I had almost finished (Only one room was left unfurnished). When I was changing floors, it suddenly crashed and freezed, I had to start task manager and when I did, it showed me that sims 3 has stopped working ( I was playing for two hours or more, I reallye njoy designing houses :D).
I have tried every solution aviable what I found. I have followed some EA solutions, have delted and uninstalled all the CC, have ran without CC, have deleted catches. I edited DEP settings, even downloaded that programm wich makes your game to  use 4GB RAM. I have uninstalled it and I have been trying to go on and off for at least 20 times today. And oh, to mention, I had set all my graphics to 'low' and tried playing in windowed mode.
Please someone help! I'm right now tyring to do my first pan with dresser and mirror and buy a smaller house to see how much I can play without crashing...

What are your system specs? And what are you running besides the game? (EP's and SP's specifically)

Have you seen this thread? I recommend the crash log analyzer :)

Norton loves to complain that legitimate software is a virus.

In fact, I NEVER recommend it to anyone. You can find your system specs by either looking on your computer (if its a pre-built system/laptop, there is normally a sticker somewhere), or clicking start and typing dxdiag into the search box, then run that.

First page should be processor and memory information.

Thanks for info, will keep it in my mind!
As for Norton, I know, it doesn't let me download half fo things I want, fortunately, I know how to not let it scan specify fies and folders but it's still a bit complicated >.<

When my dad had it, Norton decided to delete some of his critical windows files.

I stay away from it after that! :)
