Sims music on TV shows

Thought this might be a fun and interesting topic.
I'm sitting here watching the Crime channel, a show was on called Deadly Wives, and now some show called Cold Feet, and both have music from The Sims in certain scenes. I get confused with the sim music, whether it's build buy mode music, or CAS etc. Just seems weird to have sims music in a serious crime show. A few weeks ago there was sims music in a science related show.
So have you heard Sims music in anything other than the game, and what shows?

This is really funny.  Yes I have actually.  Just a few weeks ago, I think it was on America's Got Talent.   If I remember correctly, it was during one of the pre-audition backstory interviews.  I was watching it with my husband and we both thought we heard it.  I was so surprised to hear it on a TV show and not my computer!  I ended up rewinding the show just to double check and hear it again.  I thought this was a one time thing, but I find it very interesting that you have also heard it on a few of the shows you watch.  I'm interested to hear if any other members have heard it on any other shows too.

It was really funny, as it was in the morning before my kids went to school. The TV was on, hubby was on the laptop and one son was on his ipad. The TV volume was low, and I could hear this music. I'm sitting there going "I can hear Sims music? Where is it coming from? What are you doing on the ipad, is it coming from that? Is it the TV?" etc. Hubby and son were just looking at me like I was crazy lol.
So the other question is, was the music in the sims composed specifically for the sims, or is it the equivalent of stock photos, and that's why it appears in TV shows? Or are the shows producers Sims fans?

There is also a couple of commercials that I have heard it on.  I was quite surprised to hear it, but thought it was rather cool.

Seems that the Build/Buy etc. Music was composed for the Sims. The Stereo music was performed by various artists.

They use the sims music on The Golf channel ALL the time! If you watch any of the tournaments it's always playing in the background!

I think I heard some Sims 1 buy mode during eliminations on America's Next Top Model a few times. I was beyond excited
