Green and Gold Malaria - An Immortal Dynasty
« on: June 11, 2014, 10:15:00 PM »
Hi, This is an attempt I started on my recent trip to Sydney. I'm probably not really telling a story this time, just reporting on progress. I am doing it on my laptop, but am not using all the expansion packs/stuff packs.

Expansion Packs being used at the moment are
- World Adventures
- Generations
- Ambitions
- Late Night
- Supernatural
- Into The Future

Stuff Packs being used at the moment are
- High End Loft Stuff

(High End Loft Stuff and Late Night came with the Base Game when I purchased it for this laptop).

I am in Sunset Valley and have celebrities and all the available supernaturals enabled. I have set the moon to something like last quarter.

The only store purchased content I am using is the bohemian fruits/set.

It is certainly a challenge without all the nice additions that I am used to (cats fishing, dogs digging, those sunflowers that give mini suns, the brain enhancing machines, the extra LTRs, the toddler playpen/walker/swing, camera in inventory of all townies), but the quickness of loading is rather nice.

My attempt this time deals with the return of a family I used prevviously, The Ostrayians (or something similar). The previous time, I made the Founder and Generation 2 almost identical and when it came time for Gen 1 to eat ambrosia for the first time, I accidentally sent Gen 2 by mistake. I am hoping not to do that again this time.

Green and Gold Malaria is a reference to a poem by a modern Australia Poet, Rupert McCall.
Generation 1
Sydney Ostrayia (yellow skin - rainbow slider) (male; young adult) - Traits: natural cook, bookworm, workaholic, hopeless romantic, ambitious - supermax: cooking - career: culinary - spouse: Agnes Crumplebottom - helpers/pollenators: Iqbal Alvi, VJ Alvi and Miraj Alvi - Museum Pieces: YA Portrait

Generation 2
Hobart Ostrayia (purple skin - rainbow slider) (male; nooboo) - Traits: artistic, friendly

I know how that feels. In one of my dynasty attempts, Gen 2 was about to try for a kid, but I sent my founder instead. Oops

Week 1 - Thursday

Sydney Ostrayia landed on the dynasty lot in Sunset Valley and as many an immortal dynasty founder has done before went to visit Agnes. After the obligatory process of chatting her up, getting to know her, playing Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock and talking about their shared trait of bookworm, Sydney took Aggie to the bistro in Sunset Valley.

After a dinner together, Sydney began to romance Aggie, his combined hopeless romantic and great kisser traits made her putty-like in his hands, and she agreed to:
- sell her motor vehicle to make a house,
- marry yet another immortal dynasty founder,
- a lifetime of servitude of sculpting and painting,
- pause long enough in her sculpting and painting to produce the 2nd generation, and
- not being made over (as this watcher quite likes her hair and clothes).

On arriving at her new home, she painted Sydney and then began to learn sculpting. After posing for his painting, Sydney went to the alchemy store to check out what potions they had (he was rather lucky in that they had a couple of friendship potions) and then the diner in Sunset Valley to learn the cooking skill and join the culinary career. (Emma Hatch is his boss and Jared Frio a co-worker, Jared is a witch, Emma is a normal sim). While out, he met Iqbal Alvi, and after the throwing of his friendship potion and talking to Iqbal for a bit, Iqbal, VJ and Miraj moved in (all three were normal sims) to help out around the house with dynasty needs, I have big plans for the three of them. Aggie and Sydney spent time in the shower together, and the nursery chimes that sounded made Aggie, Sydney and the Watcher very happy.

During the pregnancy, Iqbal resign from his work and hit the ponds around town in between visiting the consignment store and alchemy store.

Miraj and VJ went to school, Miraj graduated into high school after having a sleepover with Aggie's nephew, Mortimer, and the brothers became friendly with the local teenage girls (VJ with his long term friend, Lisa Bunch and Miraj with high school senior, Holly Alto - Holly invited Miraj over, and the pair of them really were hitting it off) and completing their homework on their way home from school.

Sydney went to work and worked from home on his computer, while Aggie stayed at home and sculpt in clay. Aggie went to one of the all in one bathrooms a few times to throw up, and, in time, it was confirmed that she was pregnant.

The name of the heir was picked out, and as it didn't matter whether the heir was male or female, the gender was influenced by neither apple nor watermelon consumption, just by the luck of the game. Thursday week 1 around midday saw the birth of Hobart Ostrayia, the generation two heir, a little purple boy to Sydney and Aggie Ostrayia. After the birth, Aggie returned to her sculpting, hoping to get through the required number of ice statues to be a become an ice personality within approximately 7 days. At the moment, she has 5 clay and 5 ice statues completed, so 15 ice in 7 days.

Clauses 1-4 were easy for Aggie. But the last one was hard...  :)
