Sim bathing/showering
« on: May 23, 2014, 10:40:03 AM »
Here's something new to my game. I moved my family from Moonlight Falls to Sunset Valley. Now whenever the female sim is showering/bathing she is wearing purple thigh-high boots and no other clothing! I'm sorry I don't know how to post a picture of this here. I can create none of the allowable formats :(

I'm moving this to Misc. Help, because it has nothing to do with towns or townies.

Anyways, it sounds like (possibly bad) CC that's incorrectly set for the nude outfit. Is there anything in your launcher that might be it?

I agree that it sounds like bad CC.  Have you recently added a pair of CC boots or added a Sim from an outside source or the Exchange?

Yes I did. I added a dress and some hairstyles. Should I delete the CC?

I would, yes. If they are in Sims3Packs, you can run the individual packs through Custard to see if there is anything suspicious in them.

Ummmm what is "Custard"? I play on a MAC.

Custard is an application used to check what's in a Sims3Pack, though I don't think there's a Mac-compatible version. :-\ So I guess just remove what you might think is causing it and see if that helps. Remember to clear DCBackup and your caches too.

Thanks Trip! I removed more things and now she's showing with shoes instead   ???  So I'll remove the rest and clear the Caches as you mentioned.

You may need a scripting mod if you want to remove her new shoes. Missing content is always replaced by the same base game hair/clothes no matter if category is valid.

p.s. The Sim which I shared with you wears all of them (except for dress and accessories).

Are you saying that you shared a Sim with this person that had bad CC attached?

Actually, I always make sure there isn't any CC in my game (and on my Sim) before I launch and whenever I download some Sims from the Exchange they always wear the same spare clothes (depending on age/gender).

//Edit: makeups (excluding face paint) and bracelets are the only optional CAS parts which have default replacements
//Edit2: Before you use a mod, go to "Plan Outfit" wait a minute and click on accept. It may be that in CAS mode the items are checked for validity.
