I'm not sure if my Sim is pregnant or not?
« on: August 03, 2014, 03:07:57 PM »
Hi, this is my first time ever using this board so I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place. ;p I have Sims 3 for the Xbox, and I'm not sure if my sim is pregnant or not. She's an adult, and the father of the baby was an elder at the time of conception, but died soon after. I used the Try For Baby repeatedly and gave the mom a fertility treatment, but I never got the little noise after, which I did with all 3 of her other children. She was nauseous for a little while, and keeps wishing to buy baby items, but I can't tell if they're for her current children. It's been 3 in game days and she still isn't showing. Do you think she's pregnant? Her lifetime want is to raise four babies so if she isn't I need to adopt soon. Thank you!

I'm moving this to the console board.

Sometimes you don't get chimes. Try buying a birthday cake and see if she's on the list of sims who can be aged up. If not she's pregnant. If she's on the list, she's not pregnant. Pregnant sims can't be aged up. Then just sell the cake without using it.

Another thing you could try is go to a computer and try to get a job, because I found out pregnant sims can't get jobs either.  Or, you could let nature take its course.  If your sim is pregnant she will have morning sickness, cravings and eventually get bigger.  If after a while that doesn't happen she's not pregnant. :)
