Bridgeport - Inaccessable Fishing

In Bridgeport, near the end of the bridge opposite the main town, there are some fishing spots in the big river; one of them is right near the "Cabin".  Try as I might, my Sims have been unable to fish these spots - when I click on the fish, my Sim just does the "path blocked" stomp dance.

Am I missing something?  Is there someplace in Bridgeport to rent a boat or something? I've searched on  "Bridgeport fishing" and come up empty.

I've had this same issue, and I don't think you can fish there unfortunately.
