How do I make a Death Fish pool?

My Sims, Sergei and Mykhailo, worked together to make several Ambrosias. I have 4 Elder Sims and Sergei the fisherman and Mykhailo the gardener, helped them live longer. Sergei needs to make another Ambrosia for his husband.

I heard that you can have a pool at your house. I'm thinking if I could keep a pond stocked with Death Fish, Sergei wouldn't have to go to that spooky graveyard at night. How do you go about making a Death Fish pool at your house. I play Sims 3 Pets.

You have to build a pond in your yard.  It doesn't have to be big, close to what is in the graveyard.  I guess you could make it smaller, I don't know if there is a size limit on how small it can be to stock the pond.  I prefer to have as big as I can on my lot so I cane make it into a quiet area, plants, a lounge chair.

If you have a sim who is a loner it's a great area to send him or her to relax. 
Catch at least 10 of the deathfish and put them in the pond.  This creates the stocked pond, do not fish in there until you have 10 fish.  I prefer to have around 12 or more, but I think this is the minimum you need.

I don't remember if with those you can fish for during the day, someone else can answer that.

Yes, go to build mode and dig a pond. Then catch 10 death fish. Have your sim carrying the fish click on the pond and an option to stock the pond will come up. You only need 10 and they will replenish. You can fish day and night. The fishing is slower, but my sim just completed a catch 50 death fish wish using her own pond.

Did you know that if you put two death fish in an aquarium there is a chance that they will breed and produce more death fish.

I didn't know that.  I have never used the aquariums.  It seems so cruel to put them in them, such tiny bowls.


Silly, I know, but I just prefered to build a pond instead of the aquariums.

The aquariums are bigger than the fish bowls, I think you can only have 1 fish per bowl.

must come with an expansion that I don't have. 

I forget lots of times that others don't have certain expansions that I do have, which can lead to confusion.  My computer can only handle the base game, WA, SN and IP.

It is one fish per bowl, as jesirose indicated, but the aquariums can hold up to six fish per tank. So if you put two deathfish in a tank, they can breed up to four offspring.

I also thought that an aquarium came with base game, a big clunky looking thing, and the first "udpated" look was in the HELS StuffPack.

I don't think so, I can't find one in my install. I checked under all the entertainment tabs, it's not with the fish bowl, and it's not under decor or storage at all.

Huh. If they're not base game, I know for positive that they're in HELS StuffPack.

I don't use them a whole lot, unfortunately.

I don't have the aquarium either. A stuff pack would make sense.

did a search, it states that it came with High End Loft. 
So, I guess you would have to buy that store pack or whatever it is to get the aquarium.
