How can I update my game ?

Help me somebody please! I am trying to update my base game before adding new expansion packs. It crashed when I tried it from the launcher. Then I tried the super patch but for some reason I don't know how to use that. Help me please somebody....

Welcome to our Forum.

Updating your game doesn't have to be done separately.  When you install an expansion pack, the game will automatically prompt you to update.  Just click Yes or Ok (whichever shows up) and it will do the update and then finish installing.  I hope this helps.

Hi Piggymaya,

It sounds like something may have been corrupted when the patch was trying to be installed. You may need to uninstall and reinstall the game again.

Have you tried running a registry cleaner (Something like Ccleaner, It's free - http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download) This helps clean up temporary files, internet cache files and other files that are left behind that are no longer being used, after uninstalling.

Disk Cleanup and Defrag are helpful to do as well.
-- All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Clean Up
-- All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Defragmenter

These paths were made with Windows 7 in mind, so they may or may not be the same in Windows 8. These programs will help clean out the unnecessary and temporary files on your computer and reorganize your hard drive to make it run smoother.

Optional - Restart the computer.

Start reinstalling the game, Let the installer patch as you go.  Please post back if this doesn't help the problem and we'll go back to the drawing board.
