Right then, here we go again.

I really should get smart one of these times and copy and paste the settings I use from one attempt to the next attempt. So I'll do that this time ...

<Copied from Specialists>
The settings I have used for this try are:
  • Seasons - Summer only (28 days)
  • Population Control
    • Pets - On

Introduction - Mr Smith comes to the Valley

One Sunday a newcomer arrives in Sunset Valley on the dynasty lot. His name is Abraham Smith, and he is an ambitious artistic, family orientated perfectionist with photographic eyes. He wants to be a Visionary. His YA clothes follow. Please note that his formal and outdoors wear are exactly the same.

On Abraham's arrival in the valley, he left his block of land and went and visited a house overlooking the ocean. A couple lived there, Thornton and Morganna Wolff.

Abraham spoke with Morganna, they both were family orientated, they both loved art, they had compatible star signs, they just had so much in common.

Morganna was dreadfully unhappy, Abraham could see it, and so he offered to buy her a meal. Over lunch, she told him that she thought her husband, Thornton was cheating on her. Morganna worked at the hospital, and one of her fellow employees, Jamie Jolina boasted that Thornton visited her regularly after hours, while he was supposedly 'working late'.

Jamie also said that she wasn't the only one. Thornton had been with Erin Kennedy and Susan Wainwright as well. Morganna had confronted Erin with it, but Erin denied it all. Morganna expressed a desire to be an artist and give up her work in the medical career.

Abraham paid for the meal and made her an offer. Come and live with him, paint and help him get his dynasty underway, and bring Thornton with her. Ask him, and accept whatever he said. It was a risk, but if she truly loved him, he thought she should do it. Thornton deserved her to be honest with him. She thought about it and said "YES!"

After travelling to the block of land, she sold her car, Thornton sold his car as welland they brought in the team from The Block Twinbrook to rapidly build them a house. They discussed their issues while the house was built and they agreed to give it another go.

Abraham had just been to learn painting and get a job as a self employed painter and on his return saw that his two housemates were clearly patching things up.

Thornton and Morganna went to their ensuite ...

While Abraham just painted.

Then they went to their bedroom ...

As Abraham completed his painting, blissfully happy to hear the baby chimes coming from the bedroom of his housemates.

Abraham was pleased with himself, he had just saved the Wolff's marriage ... or had he?

Thanks KRae
Pictures have now been added

Chapter One - Mr Wolf has a suspicion

Thornton spent his nights gardening

or fishing

or cutting gems.

He had a lot of thinking to do and he thought best alone.

Morgana and Abraham had been spending a lot of time together Painting, Talking and Laughing.

She had even told him that she was pregnant before she told Thornton.

Thornton was honest enough to admit to himself that he hadn't been entirely faithful to Morgana, but he had commitment issues! Morgana was family orientated, and wanted a large family, could she and Abraham be having an affair?

Thornton decided to take action, if she wasn't going to be faithful, then he wouldn't either.

He got a book on online dating delivered to him at work and read it outside during his lunch breaks.

Then he took it with him to the local library and continued to read it.

Then he went to a computer in the library and created his profile. Jamie was on it, so were a few of the other ladies in Sunset Valley. He also decided to look at his competition. A number of the unmarried men, and some of the married men, of the Valley were active in the online dating community. He sent messages and went home.

Thornton even wrote a love letter to Jamie.

Morgana was on the computer when he got home, and Thornton wondered if she ... nah, not her.

Of course, when Morgana gave birth, Abraham was on hand to 'support' her, Thornton was outside in his garden. He came in to watch the scene and provide his own 'support'.

Morgana gave birth to twins ...

A boy called Simon who loved the outdoors and the heat, and

A girl called Mary who was an artistic genius.

Thornton disliked children, but he was proud none-the-less to be the father of twins.

At least, he hoped they were his. It was time to check for any messages he received online. Although Emma had refused his advances and Tamara got more interest out of her sock drawer than him, Jamie (who was now a vampire), Vita, Erin, Claire and Justine, all opportunities for him to create a few more half wolves around Sunset Valley.

Morgana had been painting a portrait of Abraham, after all ...

Oh dear, Thornton is suspicious... or is he trying to justify his (potentially upcoming) behavior? I'll definitely be reading!

Thanks for commenting Honeylamb. Or maybe it is both! Morgana is pregnant with another baby (or maybe twins), and as for Thornton, his most recent 'daliance' was with Blair Wainwright, a fairy. He's also returned to Jamie for more fun.

Thanks also to all the readers!

Looks like a good start.  Lots of helpers at least.  You've referenced having lots of failed attempts.  For those of us who are new, how many and why did they fail?  Also when does Thorton have time for all his dalliances with all that gardening and fishing?

Thanks for your comment and question, Jack.

Too many for me to recall, they are all in the graveyard, however. Many of them due to computer/file glitches of various kinds, and some of them due to various mistakes on my part, including:
- wrong sim eating ambrosia
- forgetting to paint something
- breaking another rule by mistake

As for Thornton's dalliances and the gardening and fishing, let's just say that he wasn't exactly the best gardener or fisher. He managed to grow life plants, and then hit the ladies around town. He was seen sneaking into Simon's bedroom of a night and reading fishing and gardening stories to him. Simon has officially become the gardener and fisherman for the dynasty now, allowing Thornton to return to performing 'house calls'. Simon has caught ten angel fish and populated the household pond with them. When he reaches YA, he'll head out for deathfish. He and his twin, Mary were born within 4 days of the start of the game, for that very purpose. Also, Mary is taking over the cooking duties from Morgana (and is a natural cook), unlike her mother.

Please not, pictures are coming for this post, just ran out of time for them to be cropped, uploaded to my site and linked to this thread, they should be around soonish.

Chapter Two: Mrs Wolff finds some Steel
One day at the salon1, Morgana was speaking to Judy Bunch who was also getting a haircut. Judy was commenting that Jamie Jolina had a nooboo that looked a lot like the pictures of the two nooboos that Morgana was proudly showing. Morgana commented that all nooboos look alike, and that there would be no way that Thornton would be cheating on her, especially not with a tramp like Jamie.

Later, while picking up some baby formula for the twins, Cornelia and Agnes were also in the baby aisle. Agnes had a noticeable baby bump, and Morgana asked about the father. Agnes and Cornelia didn't say a thing, but the looks they shared spoke volumes. Morgana was crushed and left without the baby formula.

Then, as she was walking by the theatre she saw Thornton and Blair sneaking backstage with furtive glances over their shoulders. Then, shortly after, both were being thrown out of the theatre, stark naked and with their clothes over their arms. Morgana fled to the bistro in tears.

Townies came and went, Jamie and Agnes and Blair and Thornton were on everyone's lips, Morgana just wanted to scream at them, but she didn't. She walked around in a daze, until she bumped into someone. Looking up, she saw it was Christopher Steel, the newcomer, who was oh so handsome. He offered to buy her a meal2, and she accepted the offer in a heartbeat. They were just friends, he made her laugh, he made her feel good, good in a way that Thornton never could. He was kind as well, and before she knew it, she was kissing him, and in public, but it was on a second date, and it was at the theatre. Unlike Thornton and Blair, Morgana and Christopher weren't found backstage.

Morgana was expecting a little brother or sister for Simon and Mary, and the rumours started up about Morgana and Christopher, but Morgana didn't care. She was happy. For the first time in a while, since she had her first two children, she was deliriously happy.

The twins aged into toddlers and Morgana was ever so grateful that Abraham was there to care for them and be there for her when she needed someone to talk to, laugh with or cry with. He was such a good man and he practiced his spellcraft almost as much as he painted.

Almost as soon as the twins became children, their little 1/2 brother, Andrew was born. The twins also had other half brothers and sisters, Latonya Jolina the vampiric daughter of Jamie Jolina and Ramiro Crumplebottom, the mermaid son of Agnes Crumplebottom. Latonya was just younger than the twins, while Ramiro was a fair bit younger. Due to their dalliances while still married, both Thornton and Morgana became known as cheaters, but Morgana picked up a clean slate and a fresh start, and was faithful to Christopher, while Thornton delighted in his love life.

Morgana received a text message from Thornton, telling her he was breaking up, and she went to Christopher (who by this stage spent virtually all his time at the Dynasty House). He proceeded to console her, and she was overjoyed to learn she was going to have a fourth child.

Meanwhile, Thornton tried again with Blair and returned to Jamie as well. Rumours spread like wildfire around the Valley, that Thornton Wolff had a child out of wedlock.

To be honest, it was two children, not one. The latest additions to the growing horde were Esmerelda Wainwright (a fairy) and Ryan Jolina (a normal sim).

Morgana was pregnant with her fourth child, and was eating apples.

Finally the big day came and she rode her bike to the hospital.

1 Morgana didn't actually go to the salon, that is just creative license.
2 Morgana actually bought the meal, once again, creative license

Yes it was, Tiamet. I was trying to fulfill Morgan's LTW of Surrounded by Family.

Anyway, rather unsurprisingly, my game file decided to corrupt on me today, not just my current version, but all of them. Graveyard Please

Sorry to hear that you had another crash and burn.  I haven't had one yet on my first attempt, but I've had some really long pauses that give me a clue that I was stressing out my game.  I'm hoping the glitch doesn't get me.  Good luck on your next attempt.  I'll be following.
