NRAAS Story Progression - too many "whoops" babies?

Hey all!

I'm a big fan of NRAAS's Master Controller and Story Progression - but there's one thing that is really bugging me. Practically all my couples in town start dating, have a "whoops" baby and a quicky marriage - not my sim, but those in town that I get updates on through Story Progression.

Any idea on how to reduce the instance of the whoops babies? One or two is fine - but every single couple is doing this it seems.

Hi felicitysims00, and welcome to the Forum!

There is a way to adjust the number of "oops" babies in town. Under Nraas-->Story Progression go to Town Options, then scroll down to Pregnancy: Unexpected Base Chance. The default is 5%, so dropping it to 1% or 2% will probably drastically cut down the number.

Along the same lines, is there a way to default the surname to either the husband or wife, I have an attack of hyphenated families (not a bad thing, just looooong names).

I know there is, but I don't remember how exactly (I uninstalled all mods months ago). Those hyphens do get a little tiresome after a while. Click on city hall and check the options. If I could find it, anyone can.

The marriage name is also under Nraas-->Story Progression-->Town Options, under Romance: Marriage Name.

Yeah, the hyphenated names become irritating after a while.
