Question about swan boats

For a build idea I was considering, I was wondering if the swanboats could be used in a pool.  I had had this idea about trying to build a 'tunnel of love' for some screen shots using a pool and swan boats, but I might have to revise the idea if I cann't do so.  Haven't had a chance to try for myself.
