New Loading Screens

Although this topic has been mentioned in the ITF thread, it doesn't seem to have a thread of its own. Anyway, I've been enjoying the new loading screens. What I'm most impressed by is their variety -- every time I think that I have seen all of them, a new one pops up. And I have to admit that they're fairly effective advertising. Based on what I've seen in the loading screens, I'm tempted to pick up a couple of stuff packs that I don't already have.

And who can say no to additional happiness points?

It's nice just to have something do while loading the game or traveling to pass the time instead of just sitting there looking at the load bar filling up.
And picking up a few hundred happiness points in the process is nice too. So far my best has been 660 points while waiting.

I have noticed that I have zero knowledge of what sim build/buy objects are called, over half the time I have to guess what the object are - some names give it away but others don't.

But, I have to say that I have had to turn them off when loading a large file since sometimes the additional memory needed to play the game buggs down my computer - also loading times seems to be longer with them enabled. But I do enjoy them

I'm personally a little annoyed when it appears, as I ALWAYS get the ambitions one with the hot rod thing. Ugh.

I'm enjoying the extra points. Top points was 900-and-something, which was awesome as I'm playing a single sim household at the moment

I must have longer load times or something. I often just browse the web on my iPad while it loads, but I usually average around 2,200 LTHP.

Maybe they are turned off in the options menu. Go to option, general settings (the third tab, the one with the gears) and there is a check box to turn them on or off towards the bottom of the screen.

I never realised until today that you get free LH points if you click on the objects! Duh. I only noticed due to a flashing sparkle (must have accidentally clicked my mouse).

I thought the whole point was to try and find them visually to pass time. What a doofus.

Now Granted I have every EP and SP minus Katy Perry sweet treats along with a good amount of store content, but I notice that these loading screens take awhile and I can usually rack up 3k-3.5k points easily. I do prefer shorter loading times though, so I do disable these in order to load up my game quicker, along with my mod which takes out all the initial loading screen junk.

I agree with tommy..although the interactive screens give you more lifetime points, in all honesty I have a lot of store content that tends to slow down my loading screen that way. I have disabled the interactive screen too, which seems to speed up my load times. Once in a while I switch it back if I'm bored, but for the most part I leave it disabled
