Slimeball Reputation - Help needed!

Hi guys I've been trying to find an answer to this for ages on the internet by typing into google but it's not coming up with anything!  Basically my sim is a 5 star, superstar actress lesbian vampire with a slimeball reputation living in Bridgeport (lol) and I've noticed that random townies run up to her and sometimes start crying in front of her....is this a glitch or are they reacting to her reputation?!

Not 100% sure, but if you're a 5-star celebrity, I think other Sims get overwhelmed by seeing someone famous, and depending on their traits, can burst into tears.
