Hello,
My game started crashing as I added in the expansion pack, "Pets" I knew it when I tried to merge in a pet into my household, and all of a sudden the game says it stopped working, leading me back to my desktop screen. I try to find the DEP solution, but I cannot find the "electronic Arts folder in program filesx86 or C:Drive.
Please help!!!!

If the Electronic Arts folder isn't on your C drive you may need to search your computer for it to see where it is saved to.

To search your computer, click start and search for Sims 3. This should tell you where your Electronic Arts and Sims 3 folders are.

If you find these folders on OneDrive, here's how to turn that off, so the computer only keeps a local copy of them on your hard drive instead of saving to the cloud service. As cloud services sometimes messes things up with Sims games.

Turn off or uninstall OneDrive

Crashing to desktop is a forum of the game crashing. Take a look at the tips below to see if any of them help.

Also doing anything with the DEP is useful for the disc or Steam versions of the game. It won't work on the digital/Origin version of Sims 3.

*If you've got the disc or Steam version of Sims 3 and expansions* (Does not work with Origin's digital download) Try running the game by by-passing the launcher, and use the TS3.exe file to run the game.

Go to ---> C:\Program Files (x86)\TheSims3\Game\Bin\TS3W.exe - and click on the file TS3W.exe to launch the game.

Add Sims 3 and Expansions to the Data Execution Prevention (DEP)

Restart the computer. Specially if you've just come from playing hours of another game. Or doing something that was as graphic intense for the computer. - This helps refresh It's memory, and gives it a fresh start.
